Chain Driven Live Roller Conveyors
Chain Driven Live Roller Conveyor (CDLR) is often installed to transport heavier loads at controlled speeds because of the positive drive feature.
Metzgar's series 470, 480 and 490 Roller to Roller CDLR conveyor is designed with two sprockets welded to one end of each roller. Individual loops of chain connect one roller to the next, transmitting power to the total unit.
Loads up to 1900 pounds per foot can be handled on Chain Driven Live Roller equipment. (Please contact Metzgar for heavier loads.)
Advantages of Metzgar CDLR Conveyor:
Clear space directly below the rollers for drainage, visibility, etc.
Resistance to hot or cold temperatures that could damage other types of conveyor.
Resistance to contamination by oil, grease, dirt, ice, chemicals, etc. which could damage other types of conveyor.
Strong, positive drive to force heavier loads into a definite orientation or location.
Chain driven rollers can more easily withstand the abuse of uneven pallet bottoms.
